SSH without password

  1. Generate the Public and Private RAS keys on client side
    1. ssh-keygen
    2. If no file path and file name given, it will save to your home folder : (/home/username/.ssh/id_rsa)
    3. The private key will named as id_rsa
    4. The public key will named as
  2. Upload the public key to server side
    1. ssh-copy-id -i /home/username/.ssh/ [email protected]_host
  3. If the keys are generate within the default .ssh folder, then you should login automatically without issue.
  4. Or you may use the following command:
    1. ssh -i /home/username/.ssh/id_rsa [email protected]_host
